FW Gas Producer is No. 1 in Screwing U. Sam
>>> Range Resources is a shining example of the callous behavior inherent in this industry. The CEO, John. H. Pinkerton, received compensation of $7.4 MILLION in 2008, a 23% increase from previous year:

MIKE MONCRIEF'S BUSINESS DEALINGS
Oil and gas
Lease or royalty agreements with 55 oil and gas companies around the country, including major players in the Barnett Shale such as Chesapeake Energy, XTO, Devon and Range Resources. Nineteen of those deals were worth more than $25,000 in calendar year 2007. The form doesn't show an exact value of the oil and gas deals, only a series of ranges. The Star-Telegram added the minimum values of Moncrief's oil and gas deals and came up with $633,000. Moncrief declined to give specifics about his income from oil and gas beyond what was listed in the disclosure form.
Moncrief's wife owns between 500 and 999 shares of XTO stock, valued between $32,370 and $64,675 at Wednesday's closing price of $64.74.
Thanks, Barnett Shale!
