The Fort Worth City Council is poised to say what FWCanDo has been saying for Five Long Years:
Just Say NO!
Mayor Moncrief and eight council members have a choice to make tonight. They can either allow Chesapeake Energy and few greedy mineral owners to destroy another neighborhood or they can Just Say NO to irresponsible drilling.
Miraculously, even the Fort Worth Star-Telegram editorial board has disapproved the latest outrageous request from Chesapeake.

The proposed pad-site sits between the historic African-American neighborhood of Como and the posh Ridglea neighborhood and shopping district.
It is very telling of Chesapeake that they would consider this heavily traveled area for another of their pollution-generating industrial sites.
From the Trinity Trees, to city parks, schools, churches, you name it, gas drillers have exercised no shame as to where they will extract their dirty fossil fuel. Nor has the City Council been shy about aiding and abetting their schemes.
But tonight might be different. If you care to witness this potentially historic council meeting, show up tonight at 6:30 pm.
